Can’t remember watching a kind of movie in a long time which I simply couldn’t even sit through. Shahrukh Khan as Harry is a desperate mix of all previous characters of Imtiaz Ali movies and obviously an overpowering version of himself. Anushka urf Sejal is trying hard to be a woman-on-mission-to-find-herself but gets lost somewhere in a weakly written character, well of course, it’s a SRK movie and all we want to see is his awkward chuckles and shivering lips because it’s still so sexy. Not.
Music is untimely, characters are unconvincing and their chemistry probably evaporated after Jab Tak Hai Jaan. Movie is excruciatingly boring with a lot of over acting and cliches. The only reason to watch ‘Jab Harry Met Sejal’ is – nothing. I will sincerely advise to skip this one !!
1/2 a star for a couple of songs and Amsterdam’s picturesque scenes
